Safety & Community Guidelines
TaskGO PH connects neighbours for real, in-person work. A few simple habits keep clients and taskers safe.
In an emergency, call 911 (Philippine national emergency hotline) or contact the nearest police station first. Then tell us through Report a problem or Contact.
Before you hire or accept work
- Read the profile: ratings, written feedback, completed jobs and Job Success Rate. New members have no history yet, which is not a bad sign, but ask more questions.
- Keep conversations in TaskGO messages so there is a record of what you agreed.
- Agree on the exact work, price, date, time and location in the offer or contract before work starts.
- If something feels wrong, you do not have to continue.
Meeting in person
- Tell a family member or friend where you are going, who you are meeting and when you expect to finish.
- For a first job with someone new, prefer daytime and keep your phone charged.
- Share your exact home address only after you have agreed on the work.
- Leave if you feel unsafe. You can cancel the contract and choose "Safety concern"; it will not count against your success rate while staff review it.
Cash payments
- TaskGO PH never collects or holds money. Payment is always directly between the client and the tasker, in cash.
- Pay after checking the completed work, or as agreed for multi-day work. Avoid paying everything in advance.
- Count cash together, then record the amount on TaskGO (client: cash handed over; tasker: cash received).
- TaskGO PH staff will never ask for your password, PIN, one-time password (OTP) or e-wallet details.
Scam warning signs
Pay first, work later
Asks for a large "reservation fee", materials money or travel fare before doing anything.
Leave TaskGO fast
Pushes you to move to another app right away, or avoids putting terms in a contract.
Codes and wallets
Asks for an OTP, PIN, GCash or Maya login, or a photo of your ID or cards.
Too good to be true
A price far below normal, or pressure to decide immediately.
Community standards
- Be respectful. No harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination.
- Post only lawful work. Do not offer or request anything illegal, sexual or dangerous, or work that needs a licence you do not have.
- Be honest about your skills, prices and availability. Leave genuine feedback only.
- Respect privacy: do not share other people's photos, addresses or messages without permission.
- Show up as agreed. If plans change, cancel early with a clear reason.
If something goes wrong
- Report a problem on the contract for unfinished work, no-shows, cash disagreements, unsafe behaviour or suspected scams. Staff will review and reply.
- Report a member who breaks these guidelines from their profile (Report this tasker / Report this client).
- Keep messages and cash acknowledgments as your record. TaskGO PH cannot issue refunds because it never holds payments.
